Jabez is not announced in Scripture for winning battles nor have special gifts and talents. The Bible does not say clearly how he rose to prominence over his brothers. Nor how many brothers had spoken. I believe that Jabez was the ninth or tenth child of his mother. Why do I think so? Because she says clearly that she had been suffering with the pregnancy and had a difficult time at birth. What could be more difficult for a woman to give birth to their tenth child in the desert?
“Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him Jabez (affliction), saying: Because with pain (very difficult) I gave birth to. “Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying:” Hopefully bless me and extend my borders, which to me is Thy hand and keep me from harm so that I do not feel afflicted. “And God granted her that which she requested.” (I Chronicles 4:12) Griffin author
Recognition: There is a mighty God and one who is interested in our lives and is accessible to our petitions. My prosperity depends on the blessing from Him. This wonderful God can also get rid of afflictions and evil.
What a wonderful prayer! I also pray this prayer. I also feel this longing in my heart. And best of all: God answered the prayer of Jabez, turning the curse of the name he bore (distress) in blessing (the most illustrious among his).
If you also want to achieve the blessings of God, join us in this 21 days of prayer and fasting, Daniel’s Campaign, beginning September 16, and so, as God heard Jabez, He will also hear you!
Come believing God’s best for our lives is yet to come and make this campaign not just another campaign, but as your campaign….. Where God will hear your prayer and turn afflictions into blessings!
God bless you!
